This evening a star was born, Naomi Osaka win US Open! 

Naomi Osaka won her first major in two sets, 6-2 6-4.

Serena Wiliams fights to the end, puts an absurd energy to try to resist, scores a lot of winners, splits the rackets, screams against the referee, she even gets to tears.

But the young Naomi is precise, almost unbelievably, finds absurd trajectories and as if this was not enough shots really strong and shows an absurd maturity for a twenty year old, never breaks up, repeatedly finds an ace when she played a break point, even scores two aces and a winner in the decisive game, one in which he would have to shake his legs because, at only twenty years, she was about to win her first major. 

i love how you’re painting Serena Williams in a poor light as if she was acting unreasonably in any of her actions.

“screams against the referee” was she or was she not suspected of cheating despite the fact that it was a baseless accusation. Serena was absolutely respectful towards these people given everything and she does not deserve whatever bull you’re spewing right now.

The crowd was literally booing at Naomi and Serena told them to knock it off, having to comfort her cus the bs the referee pulled marred what would’ve been her win anyway. Serena Williams is Naomi’s idol, she would hate the way you wrote this shit. 

yeah but , here’s the thing…

Japanese folks werent here for Naomi before she beat Serena. she herself has stated time and again the prejudice and racism she faces in her home country for being half black,and feeling like a stranger/foreigner in her own land. she herself was demonized and even called a gorilla online and in media, and comments, etc. 

But now she’s beaten a monoracial black woman. a black woman japan really didnt have a chance to beat until Osaka. now everyone’s calling her “Naomi-Chan” as though she was their sweetheart all along, and using those same animialistic phrases against Serena. 

If Osaka wasnt bringing them a trophy they’d still be performing this disgusting antiblackness.
